EVERYTHING AND NOTHING

Yesterday the house opposite ours cut down their huge mango tree. It'd been there for more than 20 years. And it's so big that it took them two days to take it down. Because of its size they had to slowly cut off each branch first. It's so sad and I kept thinking if it hurted having its limbs cut off like that. The scene looked almost like a torture to me.

They cut down the tree because they want to convert the area to a parking space. And instead of working around the tree that can give nice shade to the cars they decided to get rid of it. How sad is that. It just felt wrong cut down a tree that big that had been giving them shade and its fruits for such a long time. *sighs*

And not only that. The tree was also home to birds who nested there. My brother saw a squirrel ran to the tree which was the source of their food and it just stopped and looked startle to see that the tree was gone. I feel like crying then.

Well, my brother has saved some of the plants from there. They don't just get rid of the mango tree but some other plants as well. And my brother bring them to our home. But some of them don't look really good. It likes parting from their old home takes the life out of them.

I know they just plants (and I just spend 10 min. writing about it). But I can't help it.

PSS: I need to stop reading brokenhearted!Jared fic. They really me bring me down. And I almost cry at work today. *shakehead*

My flist is spammed with news and congratulations of Barack Obama's winning. And I'm ecstatic. I'm not an American. But since so long that American president has effected the world. So I feel I need to pay attention and be involve to what happen.

But among the joy and congratulations is the disappointment. It looks like PROP8 will be passed. If you didn't know what is PROP8, it's 'Proposition 8: Right to same-sex marriage'. And if it passed, that'll make earlier same-sex marriages illegal. At this moment, it's 53% to 47% with YES votes in the lead. :(

PROP8

I switched from Basic to Plus account this morning. I started with Basic account because I don't want ads. But now I want to do a lot more with my lj which I couldn't because of the limitation. 

So now I can do what I want but I've got ads on my beloved lj now. *pouts* It's not like the look that's bother me. It's just the principle that matters!

It's been raining like crazy for the past two weeks. The days would start with a little sunshine which is quite good because it's not so hot. And then it'd get overcast before noon and the rainstorm would start at late night. And it starts the circle again the next day. And I hate it. I don't like this kind of weather. Raining is good, sure but the nice sunshine after the rain is better. But it's gloomy all day and it effects people. So I don't have a really good time except when I'm by myself reading, watching DVD or surf the net. (Oh..yeah, my social skill sucks!) *sigh*

On a happier note, I just finished a fic called "Blind Spot" by pdragon76  and it's one of the best SPN AU I've ever read. It's a long, multi-chapters gen fic. I strongly recommend you guys to check it out if you'd not already. :)
